Staff ranks, responsibilities, the Coalition, and the current Redstoneworld team.
Redstoneworld staff actively build the world. Typically, the staff are split by specialization in either building or redstone. Applications are always open if you would like to contribute to our world!
Staff Ranks
Owner
The current Owner of Redstoneworld has been Ij since 2016. The Owner has access to all software and server related aspects and is able to veto any moderation decision made by the Anti-Council Coalition or any moderator/admin.
Co-Owner
Anybody with this rank is able to execute any command at the console level and can act as full owner when the owner is not able to give attention to the server. This rank has been generally retired due to the Redstoneworld Civil War
Head Admin
This is mainly considered a cosmetic change compared to the 4th rank, Senior Admin. There is no difference from a permission standpoint, however they may give orders to Senior Admins if necessary.
Senior Admin
Senior Admins are able to run any server command. They have access to modifying LuckPerms permissions (for example, to promote a player) and access to all CoreProtect logs and commands. Senior Admins are also the first rank to get a custom role in the server’s Discord and are the first rank to easily apply to the Coalition (except for a few exceptions that can be made at the Admin level).
Admin
This rank is the first rank to be granted op-level permissions on the Minecraft Server, meaning that this is also the first rank to have access to command blocks. Admins are also the first rank to receive full, unrestricted permissions to the Axiom building mod (yes, this includes Editor Mode).
Supervisor
This rank is the first rank to be able to moderate the server (i.e., access to mute, ban and kick commands). However, moderation decisions must be first approved by the Coalition or by the Owner unless they are critical (for example, someone is crashing the server). Supervisors are at a higher level of consideration for Axiom editor permissions.
Team Senior Member
This rank is the first rank to have unrestricted building permissions in all sectors (WorldGuard bypass). This is also the first rank that may receive either partial or full access to the Axiom mod upon request and approval by the Coalition. This rank can be skipped when a user receives a promotion from Team Member.
Team Member
This rank is the lowest true staff rank. Having this rank means you can be assigned to build something within mainworld. However, to build in a sector, you must first get permissions for the region, which can be granted by Admins and above.
Beyond this point, these are not technically staff ranks, however, they are ranks that players can technically get.
Trusted Creative
This rank allows a player to enter any gamemode in mainworld. However, this rank is not considered staff and therefore does not have access to build in any sector. This rank can be skipped when the Team Member application process occurs.
Note: There is technically an obsolete “Untrusted Creative” permission level, however it will not be covered here.
Flyer
A now obsolete rank that has been removed since flying became a main mode of transport for players rather than the transportation infrastructure within the world (such as RCorp, U1, etc.).
Default
This is the rank that you get when you first join the Minecraft Server. This rank is designed to allow players to explore mainworld in survival without letting then build on or grief the sectors. It also gives players access to plotworld, where they may enter any gamemode and have unrestricted use to WorldEdit within their plots (16 max can be claimed).
Redstoneworld Coalition
Role
The Redstoneworld Coalition’s goal is to provide fair and just moderation decisions. These decisions can range from banning a player, staff applications or permission changes. It was also made so that Ij, the owner, could receive more input from the most trustworthy of his staff in order to make him more confident when making a decision. Any vote made by the Coalition can still be vetoed by Ij.
Formation
The full name of the Coalition is “Anti-Council Coalition” or ACC, for short. Before the Coalition and the RW Civil War, the Redstoneworld Council took the Coalition’s place. However, several people on the Council turned out to act against the best interest of the server, so Ij made an Anti-Council Coalition in order to retaliate.
