The Great Merge
Bringing the sectors together
Chapter 4 was a short chapter focused on The Great Merge, an effort to bring the previously separate Redstoneworld sectors into one unified world.
The main work was carried out by IJ, Sean, and WalterLezerus. The merge required the different sectors to be imported and connected together, creating the basis for the larger Redstoneworld world that would continue to develop in later chapters.
As part of the process, the original Redstoneworld was renamed Founding Island, giving the original area its own name within the expanding project.
The Imported Sectors
Main Bunker and Theme Park
The Main Bunker and Theme Park were both successfully imported during the chapter.
The Main Bunker received its train connections, allowing it to become part of the developing railway network. The Theme Park was also brought into the world, although its integration was less complete. It had a somewhat unusual parking lot and did not yet have a train connection.
Cruise Ship
The Cruise Ship was not imported during Chapter 4. More work was still required before it could be properly integrated into the merged world, so its addition was left for a later chapter, but it was worked on extensively.
Legacy
The beginning of the unified world
The Great Merge brought several previously separate projects into the same Redstoneworld world for the first time. Although the work was not completely finished during Chapter 4, the main structure of the merged world was now in place.
The remaining integration work would continue in later chapters, alongside the further development of the individual sectors.
