Chapter 2 2016–2018

The Beginning of Reborn

Thejominecraft becomes thejocraft

Chapter 2 marked the beginning of a new era for Redstoneworld. During this period, thejominecraft rebranded to thejocraft and moved on from Redstoneworld. With permission, then- a very young IJD took over the project and continued it.

This transition marked the beginning of what would later be known as the Reborn era. Although the original founder had moved on, the project was not abandoned. Instead, it was given a new direction under a much younger generation of leadership.

The meaning of Reborn

The name Reborn was chosen to describe this new period of Redstoneworld. Interestingly, the name had an unrelated origin: the file name of the Hello Neighbor Alpha 1 game installation used at the time was HelloNeighbourReborn.exe.

The name would eventually become closely associated with the continuation and expansion of Redstoneworld after its original founding era.

The BTCC Method

Bugfix, Translate, Continue, Complete

One of the most important developments of Chapter 2 was the creation by Ij of the BTCC method:

Bugfix → Translate → Continue → Complete

The method was first applied to Founding Island and became an important approach to maintaining and expanding existing Redstoneworld projects.

At this point, Tower 1 had been completed, and the world was translated into English. Numerous smaller additions and easter eggs were also introduced throughout the world.

The Megaplan

The long-term vision

Chapter 2 was also the period in which many of the large-scale plans that would influence Redstoneworld for years to come were created.

A major megaplan was developed for the future of the project. Much of Redstoneworld’s later development can be traced back to ideas established during this period, even though many of them were difficult to implement at the time because of the young age of the people working on the project.

The scale of these plans also affected the project’s release schedule. The planned release of American Redstoneworld was postponed following the creation of the megaplan, as the new vision for Redstoneworld became considerably larger.

The Redstoneworld devlogs were also started during this chapter, documenting the project’s development and helping establish a record of its continued growth.

Although many of the plans created during Chapter 2 would not be fully realized for years, they provided the foundation for much of the development that followed.

Legacy

The beginning of the Reborn era

Chapter 2 transformed Redstoneworld from the original project into something intended to be continuously expanded and developed.

The creation of the BTCC method, the beginning of Tower 2, the introduction of the devlogs, and the development of the megaplan all established systems and ambitions that would influence Redstoneworld throughout its later history.

While Chapter 1 had established Redstoneworld, Chapter 2 established the foundation of Reborn.

Team Progression

The team was now an organized system, although only done with IRL connections of Ij, with him as the Owner. There were Admin and Mod roles that would then be transformed later, but generally Nina was the top admin with the others at a lower state. However, the difference in roles was minimal as everyone had OP. All work was done together or Ij solo.

Head Admins: Nina

Supervisors / Admins: axman, supreme, fireball, kooldude, besharkygirl
